Kala cotton comes from the dry land of Kutch. Rain-fed. Indigenous to Gujarat. One of the few cottons in the world that asks almost nothing of the earth. This shirt is its natural colour. Nothing added, nothing taken away.

Hand-stitched. Open at the front. Kantha running along the hem, the cuffs, the edges. Look closely and you'll see every stitch was made by a person sitting with this cloth.

Light as a feather. Quiet as morning. Softer with every wash.

Wear it open over a slip. Buttoned with kala cotton pants. Layered over a swimsuit at the beach. One of our first pieces. Still one of our favourites.
